Getting Started 5
- What is Page Pulse? Page Pulse automatically records every change to your web pages and lines those changes up against your Google Search Console and Analytics…
- Create your first project A project is one website you monitor. Here is how to set one up and run your first sync.
- Choose which pages to track Track every page, or narrow it to the sections that matter. You set this during onboarding, or any time in Project Settings.
- Crawl-only projects (no Google account) No Google Search Console or Analytics? A crawl-only project still tracks every page change. It just skips the traffic metrics.
- Your first sync: what to expect After you create a project, Page Pulse imports your history and starts tracking. Here is what happens, and how long it takes.
Connecting Data 4
- Connect Google Search Console and Analytics Connecting Google powers your traffic metrics: clicks and impressions from Search Console, users and key events from Analytics. Access is always read-only.
- Reconnect Google (fix a re-auth prompt) Google access tokens expire or get revoked from time to time. When that happens, Page Pulse shows a re-auth banner and your…
- Connect Slack for alerts Connect your Slack workspace once at the organization level, then any alert can post to a channel you choose.
- Connect Page Pulse to Claude or ChatGPT The Page Pulse MCP lets Claude or ChatGPT read your projects, pages, changes, and queries, so you can ask questions and generate…
Your Dashboard 4
- Your project dashboard, explained Open any project from your Projects to reach its dashboard: a filter bar, a performance chart, stat cards, and tables. Here is…
- Traffic sources: Organic, Direct, Paid, and AI The Source dropdown lets you view metrics for one traffic channel at a time. Each source shows a different set of metrics,…
- Comparing time periods Every metric can be compared against an earlier window, so you can see what went up or down.
- Tagging pages and queries Tags group related pages or queries (say, all your service pages) so you can filter, report, and alert on them together.
Changes & Impact 4
- How Page Pulse detects changes Page Pulse crawls your tracked pages on a schedule and compares each crawl to the last, recording exactly what changed.
- Impact scoring: Signal vs noise, and the Proof lens Most page changes do not matter. Page Pulse scores every change so you only see the ones that do, and the Proof…
- Reading the “Change detected” card Click a red change marker on the chart and the change-detected card opens. It tells you what changed, how much it mattered,…
- New pages, recrawls, and redirects Besides content changes, the chart marks three other events: new pages, recrawls, and redirects.
Alerts 3
- Create an alert Alerts email you (or ping Slack) when metrics move or pages change, so you do not have to check the dashboard. Here…
- Alert schedules and timezones Digest alerts run on a schedule you set, in the timezone you choose, so they land at a sensible local time.
- Deliver alerts to Slack Send any alert to a Slack channel so your team sees it where they already work.
Account & Troubleshooting 4
- Manage your organization and users Your organization holds your projects, team members, and integrations. Owners and admins manage it.
- Project settings and re-syncing Project Settings is where you change data connections, tracked pages, and run maintenance like a re-sync.
- Why don’t I see data yet? A few things run in the background after you act. If a screen looks empty, one of these is usually why.
- Missing clicks on Direct, Paid, or AI If clicks and impressions read zero (or grey out) on Direct, Paid Search, or AI, that is expected, not a bug.
